AFCON 2023: It’s just cramp – Alhassan Yusuf allays injury fears

Alhassan Yusuf has allayed fears of having picked up a serious injury in the Super Eagles 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea.

Recall Yusuf made his competitive debut for the Super Eagles in their opening fixture at the 2023 AFCON.

The 23-year-old was however stretchered off in the 69th minute after sustaining an injury.

Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo replaced him on the pitch.

Giving update about his fitness, Alhassan Yusuf said, “It’s just a cramp, we will see if I’ll be available against Cote D’Ivoire.”

The Super Eagles will be up against Cote d’ivoire at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on Thursday.
