#KogiDecides2023: Steel minister casts vote, commends election process

The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Audu, has commended the peaceful conduct of the governorship elections in his country home, Ogbonicha, Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Audu who also doubles as the Director-General of the Kogi All Progressives Congress Governorship Campaign Council cast his vote at his Ogbonicha Polling Unit 1.

He commended the seamless electoral process by the Independent National Electoral Commission and the peaceful conduct of members of the community.

Audu also commended the electoral umpire for the timely commencement of the process, with all materials intact as observed by the voters.




“I want to commend INEC Officials for sticking to the rules of engagement; the timely conduct of the process and for ensuring all sensitive and non-sensitive materials were all intact.

“I commend my people for their peaceful and orderly conduct. The massive turnout of the people also shows their enthusiasm in the process which they believe is credible.

“So far, everywhere has been peaceful, and we believe the whole process would also end peacefully,” Audu said.




Audu, who joined the queue among other voters, urged the people to maintain the same level of peace and orderliness until the end of the process.
