The fifth aNigeria Cricket Federation National U-17 Championship will commence January with the zonal elimination across six zones.
Zonal elimination games in the boys and girls category will run from January 20 till January 28, 2024.
Teams from different states will face off in round-robin format to determine the zonal champions and also pick the team that will represent the zones at the national finals.
The national finals will follow from February 7 to 11 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Package B, Abuja.
Team South-South are the defending champions of the boys and girls categories, winning the title back-to-back in 2021 and 2022.
The NCF PwC championship started in 2018 and has produced a number of players for the men’s and women’s national teams.
Some of the names include Yellow Greens left-handed batter Prosper Useni, Ridwan Abdulkareem as well as Female Yellow Greens’ Lucky Piety, Peculiar Agboya, Sarah Etim among
others.
